3 Steps To Remove Your Fear Of Dying

In the past week two people discussed with me life after death. Somewhat to my surprise one of them said: if I could only know! This made me wonder, with so many sources of information that confirm or indicate life after death, why would people still have doubts and fears about this?

Then I realized that it had taken me quite some time and a particular process before I came to this point where I no longer feared death and my whole being simply knew that there is life after death.

1. Gather information

When I was a teenager, my father had subscribed to a Dutch esoteric magazine called Prana. This provided an opportunity for me to read a lot about life after death and reincarnation and I continued to do so for many years. Nowadays with the Internet it is much easier to find information and one of the many resources is near-death.com containing many articles with scientific evidence of life after death.

Another source of information are of course the large number of channeled messages confirming and describing life after death. One of my favorites is this discussion with Abraham (6:01).

But, I am the first to admit that although this information can create a shift in your thinking about life after death, it usually doesn’t remove the fear of dying. You need something more for that.

2. Experience past life times  

I can’t exactly remember the reason why I attended a past life regression workshop, but what I do vividly remember are my experiences. Using a guided mediation we were invited to go back in time and “relive” some important events from past lives.

I had the most incredible experiences. I saw close friends from this life time in different, medieval settings recognizing their faces as if they were standing in the room next to me. I also relived my death during my last life time, in the second world war (interestingly enough, this life time was confirmed about two years ago in a private session with Tobias, channeled by Geoff Hoppe).

To most people experiencing past life times sounds like fantasy or imagination and in fact it is. That’s the way you connect with past lives, through your imagination. However, at the same time there is something deep down in your being that just knows that what you are experiencing in some way is “true”. This is perhaps hard to explain, you have to experience it for yourself and actually you can if you so desire:).

Did you try it? What did you experience? Don’t be concerned if you felt asleep and can’t remember what happened. Perhaps this is the first time that you did an exercise like this and your physical being and mind need to get used to it. But, once you have experienced past life times for yourself it will greatly help you to reduce or completely remove the fear of death.

3. Talk with the dead

The ultimate experience that I had, which completely removed my fear of dying, was in 2006 when I attended the Dreamwalker Death School of the Crimson Circle. After extensive explanations about the death process itself and its spiritual meaning, you are taken on a journey, a dreamwalk, to meet and communicate with someone who has died and who played an important role in your life.

It was the most amazing experience to ”talk” with my granddad who had died many years before. We connected through time and space as if it was the most normal thing in the world, and actually it is. It also provided me with an explanation for the sudden urge that I had felt during the reception after his funeral to return to his grave, which at the time didn’t make sense to me at all. We simply made an appointment to meet each other again later.

After attending this school I became a teacher and I have been facilitating this workshop now a number of times with a large variety of people, including some that were terminally ill. Each time I am deeply touched by the stories and emotions that the attendees share with each after their dreamwalk.

Removing the fear of death is one of the most beautiful gifts that you can give yourself. Just take a moment here to consider how your life would change if you no longer have the fear of dying…For me life has become an incredible beautiful and joyful experience, every day, and I wholeheartedly wish the same for you.

    Yes we can mentally understand there is no such thing as death.
    However the people with near death experiences have felt/experienced what it is like with there “higher” consciousness which overruled ego’s fear of death related to the body.
    Even if we “know” that it will be great after leaving the body.
    It still can happen that we have to deal with the basic fear of death of the ego when we face death and the body responding to that.
